Hand Stamped OB's

The following OB handstamp was originally on the desk of Harry S. Bandholtz himself. It has only been found on covers from him and the officers that took over his job in Malolos. You will note these are on the first issues, and the hand stamp may have actually been used before Bandholtz came up with his now famous printed OB's. These are rare on Mint stamps and only slightly less rare on used stamps.

This handstamp is characterized by 3.5mm block style letters of equal height and
width, with each letter followed by a square period.
